[Ink] Chinese Rice Paper Lessons

Posting the exercises of my Chinese Ink and Watercolor lessons in June-August.... The teacher was Mr. Marco Szeto. He's great painter! I was using Moon Palace Rice Paper (月宮殿) with local edition of Pentel watercolor and Chinese Writing Ink as specified by Mr. Szeto. The type of paper is extremely difficult for me...

Lesson 1 was introduction only and no exercise...

got home later and I bought all the materials required. painted this as a kick-start exercise... frustrated and not sure what was I doing but feeling fine for the result...

Lesson 2 and 3 were landscape exercises...

did not finish the below one coz didn't bring the postcard back home (it's an excuse, I know :P)...

Lesson 4: color spread massively as soon as the brush touches the paper... :(

Lesson 5: flower exercise

Lesson 6: vegetables and bottles... I hate this topic... I used the color of a Chinese peach on the pear...

Got encouragement on the following one... I finally painted in a correct style~ haha :)

Lesson 7: Painting snow

Lesson 8: the last lesson that has exercise :( painted streets

Borrowed postcard this time and practice another one at home

Exercises at home

I love these! I am especially fascinated by your landscapes in color. I find a great affinity between that style and mine done using my 'rough brush' technique. Painting is such fun isn't it!

Hi Roy! Thanks for your comment! :D

I think painting landscapes is fun and much happier than painting objects~ :P
